‘LARGEST VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION TO FAMILIES’ has been achieved by THANK YOU FOR YOUR GIVING VOLUNTEER TEAM (UAE), reaching and supporting more than 12,000 families across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This extraordinary achievement demonstrates outstanding commitment to humanitarian service, volunteerism, community support, and social responsibility; Officially certified on 2nd October 2026 in Dubai, UAE.
The record was announced during a special ceremony held at the Dubai Police Officers Club in cooperation with the Positive Spirit Council of Dubai Police General Headquarters. The event was held to celebrate Arab Volunteer Day under the slogan ‘We Volunteer for the UAE’, with the theme ‘Leaders of Giving… Because the Impact Deserves to Be Honored.;
The ceremony brought together community leaders, media and academic figures, volunteers, entrepreneurs, and people interested in humanitarian and volunteer work from different backgrounds and cultures.
Honoring the Spirit of Volunteering
During the event, Sheikh Eng. Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, highlighted the importance of recognizing volunteers and pioneers of volunteer work.
He said honoring volunteers is a way to express gratitude for their time, effort, and service to the community and the UAE. He also emphasized that recognizing their work can encourage more people to continue volunteering and giving back to society.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi was among those honored during the ceremony, along with several pioneers of volunteer and scouting work, community leaders, and individuals behind impactful social initiatives.
Supporting 12,000 Families Across the UAE
One of the main highlights of the event was the recognition of the Thank You for Your Giving Volunteer Team for its record achievement and its volunteer efforts that reached more than 12,000 families in different emirates of the UAE.
The achievement reflects the important role that volunteers and community organizations can play in supporting families and strengthening social connections.
The event also highlighted the UAE’s values of community cooperation, tolerance, giving, and social responsibility.
Promoting a Culture of Giving
Dr. Aisha Al-Dhanhani, Member of the Federal National Council and Honorary Member of the Thank You for Your Giving Volunteer Team, said the celebration supports wider efforts to promote a culture of volunteering in Arab communities.
The record serves as an example of how organized volunteer work can create a positive impact on thousands of families.
